Kristina Kusakina is a freelance conservator specialising in the conservation of wall paintings, decorated architectural surfaces, and historic interiors. Based in the Netherlands, she works on a diverse range of materials and contexts - from 16th-century wooden ceilings to 21st-century acrylic murals - combining traditional craftsmanship with scientific analysis.
Her expertise includes architectural paint research, stratigraphic sampling, and the treatment of complex layered surfaces. She is committed to preserving architectural stories through ethical conservation, material sensitivity, and collaborative practice.
